On December 3, 2024, Prof. Mierzejewski, Dr. Kowalski, and Dr. Jura participated in a discussion on defining the behavior of Chinese diplomacy in developing countries. The moderator of the discussion was Prof. Mario Esteban, Head of the East Asia Studies Center at the Autonomus University of Madrid. During the meeting, the issues of influencing through narratives (discousiver power), winning elites for political cooperation (elite capture), and activities in the field of incentives and economic coercion were raised. The discussion in Madrid was part of a project financed by the National Science Center under OPUS17 "The Belt and Road Initiative in Developing Countries: The People's Republic of China as a Multilateral and Normative Entity" (UMO 2019/33/B/HS5/01667).
