The symposium was co-organized by the Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Ambassador Huo Yuzhen (responsible within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC for the cooperation of the PRC in the CEE in the 16 + 1 mechanism), Wang Linggui (vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), Ambassador Ulyana Bogdanska (director for Global Affairs at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Lan Lijun (President of the Chinese Foundation International Studies) and Stanislav Raščan (Secretary of State of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) participated in the opening ceremony and Ambassador Dong Xiaojun (PRC Ambassador to Bulgaria). Center For Asian Affairs of the University of Lodz representative Przemysław Ciborek participated in the panel concerning evaluation and further development of China-CEEC connectivity driven cooperation (infrastructure, transportation, local cooperation, people-to-people, cultural and educational exchange).
