The lecture consisted of four parts: discussion of the meaning of the term "qiaotoubao" - the pin, local initiatives that have become central over time, the situation on the Sino-Burmese border and the prospects of Dehong Prefecture with particular emphasis on the city of Ruili. Moreover, D. Mierzejewski presented the conclusions of the interviews conducted in the Yunnan province.
